A lovely day trip to the Sea of Galilee (Israel) takes the edge off the current challenges — mental health — career and appropriate relations with adult children out of the home …
Today I had the privilege to get on a bus and take a day trip that was compromised of the following stations:
1.Jordan River “Jardenit” for Breakfast — Brunch at 11 a.m. our 2 dedicated organizers Hedwah and Chani outdid themselves with chicken patties, and lots of salads.
Talia my “tell it as it is” friend listened patiently to the ongoing saga of my oldest son’s hospitalization for his mental health. I secretly still believe that if I become a better mother he will somehow heal from his diagnosed paranoid shizophrenia. He is 29 now and threw out my computer on September 20th. Then I changed the locks on my front door and decided I was done with having him in my home.
8 years of him constantly rearranging my furniture had left me feeling “dilly” — today a bookshelf from my bedroom had to be moved from there to my daughter’s former bedroom. She had gotten married quickly and with great determination to get out of our home as her brother’s ongoing mental confusion had taken a toll on all of us — me and her other 3 brothers ..
In short a mentally not well young man had taken up the thankless job of trying to be the head of the household — which none of us had asked him to do. He thought differently. And did what he did whenever something was not going his way.
